Xiandongyan in Keelung is a scenic attraction that combines natural landscapes with religious culture. Inside the cave, Buddhist statues are enshrined, creating a peaceful atmosphere with historical significance. One of its most distinctive features is a narrow passage known as the “Sky Gap” (Yixiantian), where visitors must bend down to pass through, offering a unique experience.
Foshou Cave (Buddha Hand Cave) is located near Xiandongyan. It gets its name from a rock formation on the cave ceiling that resembles a hand. The cave is damp, majestic, and full of adventure, making it an exciting place to explore.
Both sites are natural sea-eroded caves that showcase the power of nature. They attract many visitors each year and are among Keelung’s most famous tourist attractions.
