The Li Meishu Memorial Gallery was initially established in 1990. With special funding from the Council for Cultural Affairs and assistance from the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Taipei County Government, it became a "Local Cultural Center" under the Council for Cultural Affairs. The gallery was founded to commemorate Professor Li Meishu, who was dedicated to artistic creation and the art movement during his lifetime and was one of Taiwan's early significant artists.
Beida High School has a deep connection with the Li Meishu Memorial Gallery. During the summer of 2015, the school arranged for all teachers to visit the gallery for a planning day. Since then, the school has integrated related courses, such as Meishu Month, and starting in 2019, outdoor art installations have been brought onto the campus. In November 2021, the school formally signed a collaboration memorandum with the Li Meishu Memorial Gallery, which generously donated many paintings to the school. Works by early Taiwanese painters now hang in corridors and in spaces dedicated to self-directed learning, fostering a link between historical culture and the local community. This blend and clash between the old and the new create a captivating and dynamic space, enhancing the school's aesthetic education and immersing students in an artistic atmosphere.
