Crossing Chengfu Bridge to the Zhulin area, you will be greeted by the prominent sign of "Tongyi Tea House," with the fragrance of tea wafting from the nearby factory.
The current operator, Mr. Yan Zhifeng, is the third-generation owner. An alumnus and PTA president of Dacheng Elementary School, renowned for its tea-themed courses, he is dedicated to promoting tea culture. Discussing the development of the tea industry, Mr. Yan mentioned that in the early days, the focus was primarily on exporting bulk processed tea. However, as the market environment changed, exports shifted to domestic sales. With the Farmers' Association's policy of promoting unique local specialties, Sanxia began to focus on Biluochun tea, followed by the introduction of Honey Black tea and White tea.
Mrs. Yan also emphasized the importance of heritage, saying, "Only by making more people aware of tea production can this culture be sustained." Consequently, Tongyi Tea House actively collaborates with nearby schools and hosts German students to experience Taiwanese tea culture, leaving these visitors in awe.
